Tyrin Fanning

Tyrin Fanning, born on September 5th, 1993, in Washington, Georgia, is the heart and soul behind our culinary journey. Raised among strong, God-fearing women—his mother, aunt, and grandmother—Tyrin's upbringing instilled a deep appreciation for the culinary arts. Sundays were a sacred tradition at the church, and his mother's culinary prowess sparked a lifelong passion for food.

 

A Unique Path to Culinary Excellence

 

Tyrin's journey to culinary greatness took an unconventional turn. After leaving high school, he earned his GED at Bamberg Job Corps Center. In 2018, he graduated from the esteemed Le Cordon Bleu. Two inspiring teachers, Mr. Gresham and Ms. Glaze, played pivotal roles in nurturing Tyrin's drive to become the best version of himself.

 

A Culinary Adventure Begins

 

Tyrin's culinary adventure began with humble beginnings at McDonald's in 2013, followed by a role at Waffle House. However, a transformative moment arrived when Tyrin's sister encouraged him to envision his future. Exploring various paths, Tyrin's heart always led him back to the kitchen. His family's culinary heritage, from his grandfather's BBQ mastery to his mother's soulful dishes, was an intrinsic part of his identity.

 

A Journey Shaped by Tough Love

 

As the youngest in his family, Tyrin experienced tough love, shaping his character and determination.

 

Beyond the Kitchen

 

Tyrin's passions extend beyond the culinary world. He is also an avid musician and a source of laughter for those around him.

 

Motivated by Loss

 

The passing of Tyrin's beloved mother in May 2022 was a profound turning point in his life. Her unwavering belief in his potential served as a catalyst for even greater determination.

 

A Proud Member

 

Tyrin takes pride with following his father’s footsteps in his membership with Shiloh Lodge 63 Prince Hall, where he continues to grow as an individual.
